Raw opening


Eric Bischoff opened the show by stepping into the ring. Just as his music states, "He's back and better than ever"! However, first and foremost he congratulated Chris Jericho for his brilliant performance the previous week. He said that Jericho was indeed a great GM and that he really deserves the title 'Mr. Ratings'! Bischoff added that to show his appreciation toward Jericho he granted him a little pay raise so to make his average salary reach $100,000/month. However, he continued, Jericho shall owe him two favors, one of which he wishes to keep secret for the moment. As far as the first favor is concerned, Bischoff announced that he wants to make a ground breaking main event that is sure to generate high ratings in putting in one corner 'Mr. Ratings' Chris Jericho! And in the other...Brock Lesnar!!!

1) Randy Orton defeats Sean O'Haire in 7:53 with the RKO and advances in the King Of The Ring tournament.

Stacy Keibler is walking in a corridor in a very sexy and revealing secretary outfit. She stops right in front of the GM office before knocking at the door. Bischoff greeted her in and Stacy sat in his office in a very sensual way. At this sight, Bischoff who was busy typing on his DELL laptop PC stopped and stood aghast not knowing what to say. In her sexiest voice, Stacy told Bischoff that she heard rumors stating that he was for a new secretary. She added that she could be a very good personal assistant who would deliver very personal services. In saying so, she positioned herself so to almost be crawling on Bischoff's desk and closed his laptop PC. Bischoff couldn't hold any longer and told the cameraman to get out of his office while looking back at Stacy with a wicked smile.

2) Tajiri/Matt Hardy defeat Big Show/A-Train in 12:02 when Tajiri countered a Big Show's Powerbomb with the Mist followed by a pin and go to the next round of the tag team tournament.

Chris Jericho and Trish Stratus were heading toward Bischoff's office to know what was the second favor all about. Trish had in her hands a bouquet of flowers that Bischoff made sure she would get in her dressing room. Trish said that it was what she'll expect from "her people" once she becomes a Queen. She wants to be covered with flowers and presents. Jericho jokingly said that the whole locker room then would better start investing in Teleflora and buying stocks from them if they were to offer her flowers every single week. Eventually, they arrived in front of Bischoff's office they entered without any further warnings and found Bischoff and Stacy in a very compromising position. They immediately closed the door and looked at each other. Jericho asked Trish if she had seen the same thing as him to what she nodded. After regaining their composure they decided to enter once again. Bischoff and Stacy collected themselves and greeted the couple. The Raw GM then introduced his star couple to his new secretary who has just passed the entrance exam: Miss Keibler. Trish picked a cigar on the group and asked suspiciously if Bischoff had started smoking. Confused, Eric Bischoff said it was only for special occasions...err to celebrate Stacy's new position. Jericho and Trish looked at each other in disbelief but Bischoff quickly told them the reason why he had made them come to his office.

After the commercial break, Trish, Jericho, Bischoff and Stacy were in the ring. As a matter of fact, Bischoff and Jericho were in the ring while Stacy and Trish were on the outside acting as cheerleaders. Y2J was equipped with protections everywhere as if someone was about to send a wild dog after him. Bischoff announced that Jericho will train him for his match against Stephanie. For that purpose, Jericho put on a mask of of Stephanie and, in an impersonification of Stephanie, begged Bischoff not to beat 'her' ass too much. Bischoff obviously disposed of 'Steph' quite easily and gloated over his future victory over her at the King Of The Ring.
Stacy joined her boss in the ring and as the new secretary and chief of staff on Raw, she announced that it will indeed be Booker T, who asked Jericho this favor the week before, who will face Edge at the King Of The Ring to bring back one title to Raw. However, he only needs to prove his worth in defeating his tonight's opponent, and the match is next!

3) Booker T defeats in an impressive way Rob Van Dam in 1:48 with the Scissors Kick.

Backstage, Billy Gunn was very upset since his tag team partner, Billy Kidman, wasn't at the arena for their upcoming match. Gunn couldn't believe it and kept saying that it was his chance to once again shine since tag team matches are his speciality. All of a sudden came Triple H with the DELL laptop PC of Bischoff under his arm. When Gunn asked what was the reason for this, Triple H answered that Bischoff was keeping every address and phone numbers of almost any wrestler available in the country and he has just found the perfect partner for Gunn. Billy was exulting when he caught glimpse of Triple H doing something to the laptop PC. Triple H grinned wickedly and told him it was nothing...just deleting Jericho's entry from the PC!


4)The New Age Outlaws defeat Val Venis/Lance Storm in 18: 24 when Road Dogg performed his Pump Handle Slam on Lance. Everybody was surprised to discover that the mystery partner Triple H has been contacted was none other than Gunn's former partner, the Road Dogg Jesse James!

Once again, it was time for the Blonde Minute hosted by "the divine" Trish! Trish in a goddess-like outfit introduced her guest for the day, the soon-to-be King Of The Ring......Chris Jericho!!! Y2J talked about how great he was and how great Trish was, especially in this outfit, and how they will soon rule the WWE. He explained once again that he only this tournament filled with "assclowns" only to be able to face Triple H for the WWE Undisputed Championship...though being called a King is also a nice thing. Jericho once again made fun of all the participants and said he couldn't care less about who is about to face as he is sure to emerge victorious. The whole segment was nothing but a praise of Jericho done by Trish who, in turn, was also praised by Y2J.
After the commercial break, Jericho was seen backstage while Lesnar was in the ring waiting for him. All of a sudden, Y2J saw Orton getting out of his locker room and asked him he has been watching the show since his match. Orton told him that he has been busy calling friends about his qualifications about the King Of he Ring so no he didn't know what has happened. He asked Chris why he was asking that and Jericho told him that Bischoff wanted to see him in the ring right now, it was about his qualification in the KOTR or something, he wasn't sure he said. Orton thanked him and headed toward the ring while Jericho was laughing telling to himself that Orton wouldn't be in shape for the King Of The Ring with the beating he was about to receive.

5) Randy Orton does the impossible and defeats Brock Lesnar in 5:14 with the RKO.

The show ended with Jericho, who was watching the match on a monitor, looking at the screen in utter disbelief while holding his head.
